Default 1999 A4 avant quattro 2.8 SOLD
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : A4 avant quattro 2.8 SOLD
Price : £450
Location : Tillicoultry
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook) ,Taxed ,MOT'd

Audi A4 2.8 30v quattro avant for sale.

Owned car for 1 1/2 years, great car but time to part company due to purchase of Honda CRV for more interior space for family duties.

It's not without it's problems but is still a good powerful, comfortable and potentially a fast, spacious and cheap car.

Leather interior, 18 inch alloys with good Kuhmo tyres, stainless steel exhaust and tow bar.

It clunks when hitting speedbumps (has had bushes replaced previously) noise from ns rear shock (possible broken spring from what I've read) and rear calipers are partially seized (I have freed them off a year ago so might be saveable again).

Car is MOT'd until 20th of November and is taxed until march 2014. Recent wheel bearing and oil and filter change.

£450 no offers. SOLD SOLD SOLD I realise car is short on MOT so had planned on scrapping it and selling good bits so have set price at what I think scrap value, tax refunded and value of parts once sold.

Can provide photos on request.

OOO! CRV!

That's what I was thinking of getting as a school/shopping wagon. Do you already have it? What's it like? It's the old ones I'm looking at, very late 1990s ones, seems the only problem they have is keeping the valve clearances adjusted every 30K, otherwise the eat the valves.

Otherwise could be a smart little move going to one of them! Good all rounder

We have the CRV already, a 1999 t reg. Not bad but not a Patch on our old Forester.
We were wanting another Forester but got impatient and started looking at CRV's as well and ended up with one. Now all the Foresters are for sale !!!

That's crap about the valves. It seems I never done my homework as the diff fluid needs doing every 15-30k miles. I've had to flush and change fluid already as it was making strange noises on full lock. I've changed a drop link but still have a wee rattle somewhere, it needs a cv boot very soon and 2 front tyres then we'll see how it goes. If we part with it soon I'll let you know.

I was looking at this one, because it's just down the road, has had some valves replaced already but from what i've read it can be a bit of an ongoing process as the valve seats recede further.

Worse on the 1999 -2001 heads as they increased the compression during that period, after that they used a different version of the same engine I think, crackin' bloody engine though. Some folk replace the head with an earlier one I think? Dunno, after that they have v-tech heads maybe. Seem really good value though and from the reviews I've read have basically no other problems whatsoever. Your one might have missed the compression increase if you're lucky!
