Default The end of an era, bye bye Woolworths

Seems a shame that a high street household name is going to gone forever.
The only place I knew where I could walk in, buy a doormat, sweets, a couple of cheap DVD's, a drink, some sewing needles, wonderweb for turning up me trousers and a replacement zip!
What other kind of shop sells that stuff?

Yes,I,for one, will miss your eclectic music section-and always at such incredibly competitive prices to boot!

Well,at least the counter jollies invariably found saying "nah sorry no stoooock" will be able to keep McDonalds in emergency staff..

Ian, Woolworths is part of our National Heritage! How can you say it like that!?!?! That's sooo hurtful!

Did you not get to wear the fantastic Winfield Trainers with their 4 stripes instead of the cool brigade at school with their Adidas Kicks!
