Default Differences in spring as it takes gearbox?

Hello, I would like to ask if there is any difference in the suspension springs if the car has automatic transmission or manual gearbox.

What could be the difference in weight of an automatic transmission and a manual? Would this affect the height of the spring?

Thanks!

Front springs usually differ from engine(e.g. 2.2T S4 has different springs from 2.6l 100), rear is the same for all of them, as far as I know.

Ok. The question comes because I have a Audi 100 5E (C2) originally had an automatic gearbox, and now leads a manual gearbox, and is very high in the front. The height gained.

I see no springs for sale to reduce the height. I think as manufacture.

If you had done the conversion personally you would know just how much heavier the autobox and torque-converter with oil, is than the manual.

Yes, big-time, have you got access to Vag-cat ? all the variations of springs will be listed there.

I seem to remember Daniel (Quattro777 on here) telling me that his research suggested the front springs were the same for both type 43 & 44. but not the rears.

ADVERT:- We do have in stock good/used Auto gearboxes for both the type 43 and 44, both complete with Torque-converters.

Well, never though that. Always though front ones changes as engine changes.

The gearbox change was made a few years ago and I could see the difference in weight.

The front suspension if it is equal to that of typ 44 but the rear is different as you said RetroAuto
