I have recently aquired a Kamei front bumber trim off a B3 80 to fit to my B3 90. When I removed the trim from the 80 bumper it was attached with 4 clips and stickoflex which to my mind looked a bit of a mess! Can anyone advise whether it is possible to weld the trim to the bumper bearing in mind that they are two different plastics?

Yes, I had exactly the same thing with my B3 80 when I acquired the Kamei front - you will need to cut Dow. The original bumper to make it work.
