There's mixed reports on the stuff from fleabag. Go to vagcom.
http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/interfaces.html I believe it's hex +can on USB that is needed on most modern stuff. Older cars like my v8 need an extra 2x2 adapter

Besides VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Bentley (3W), KTM X-bow and Spyker C8, VCDS should work on most OBD II compliant cars in OBD mode. I use the HEX+CAN Series USB cable plus the 2+2 cable for older Audi's... The payback on my cable has been quite good... When I "do stuff" on other Audiclub.dk member cars they usually bring a couple of bottles of red wine ![]() |

get the official ross-tech VCDS, there a few UK outfits that sell these in various forms such a basic version (just cable on its own) / pro-kit (carrycase, 2+2, usb extention, user manual etc)
Really as long as you purchase a genuine cable you are good, so a basic one is fine. But with this you can only diagnose OBD equipped vehicles. Older VAG uses 2+2 cable, but you most likely won't need to use it that often. Genuine cable can be registered with ross-tech, fakes cannot and they don't fully work with official software. |

did you look at the genuine Ross-tech/VAG-com item in the link i gave you? $349 is approximately £222, give or take. works with their software
