Default help,,chasis number missing digit?

hi folks as mentioned previous i;ve misplaced/lost the key to my 1983 coupe gt now audi seem to think im missing a letter from my chasis number on the logbook,,,if any one has a coupe gt of the same year or in around the year could they check it for me please mine is , ...... 85da ...... they seem to think there is a letter missing before the d or just after it??? and there should be 17 in total there is 6 numbers after the a ,,,thanks

yes ,,needed for a replacement key,,,cant get into the boot micky as the car is locked ,,,,they tried inserting a z after the 5 but to no avail says number not correct

i noticed there is seven numbers after the letters on the 200 but showing six numbers after the letters on the logbook for the gt, maybe this is wrong also? if some one with a gt can check if the z is the right letter missing and should there be 6 or 7 numbers i would be greatful ,,thanks

do you have the old uk reg that was on it? i can run a check on it if you want to see if it comes up, the irish reg doesnt give me much
