....Alex (my lovely wife!!) works shifts, crap ones at that 4am start.

She leave the house for work shortly after 3am.

at 3:15, them cam chain snaps on her jeep..

She rings me...

me, not too happy and tell her to ring the AA as I've paid for joint membership.

She's worried about getting to work on time (very conscientious!) and asks me to get in my car, driver to her, I sit in her stricken car and wait for the AA and she can get to work on time.
I put the phone down and tell her to wait for the AA..

lads at work reckon they'd have done the manly thing and gone and swapped over cars.

I reckon I did the right thing and pay for a years AA membership!

In the end, the AA were there in 30 minutes and she was only 20 minutes late for work.

Downside is, the cam chain snapped and being a Suzuki, it's not worth repairing.
Shame really as I've just paid for a new CAT on Tuesday and it was going up for sale next week anyway when her new car arrives.

Never mind, she can use the Hillman Imp as a daily now as that passed it's MOT today with no advisories!!!

If you think the downside is that the cam chain snapping killed your suzuki, then Sam is a pretty good girl, and so you maybe should have swapped motors.

Cos if she's like some of the other versions of Venus' best export, she'll kill some of your other kit, and make you wish you'd swapped motors.

Me. I like the 'don't answer the phone' option.

Still got the Passat but SORN'd it at the beginning of the month.
I use the 968 as a daily (although Alex will be using that now!). She's getting a new car next week anyway, but it would have been nicer to sell the Suzuki as a runner with tax and MOT rather than a lump of Japanese shite!!
