Default Big Brakes for 5x100 PCD Cars!! MK4 Golf R32 Set-Up

Right Guys,

Have a complete Mk4 R32 Set Up for Sale, 5x100 334mm Discs, Callipers, Pads and Hoses! Also have a pair of brand new braided hoses to go with them!

Huuuuuuuggeeee Stopping Power, I'd say 17" wheels minium!

Discs have Roughly 3K miles on them, some surface rust from storage etc!

Pads are roughly 1/2 worn and the hoses are complete!

Pics:

Here are some pics next to a 280mm set-up to give an idea about size!

They are frickin' heavy so postage is pretty much out of the question, I'm up in the North East!

Looking for £350 guys! Bargain I'd Say as the Discs alone are over £400 from VAG!!!

Not on here to often but you can ring me on 07971 623155

Cheers
Steve

Will the calipers actualy fit any audi legs?? They come on a different lower leg / carrier on the A8 (stand to be corrected).
5 *100 on a classic audi about 12mm off the normal route what bearing hub combo would you suggest?

I don't know if an A8 has the same hub design as a MK4 Golf, I know these will fit any 5 stud VW and even MK2 Golfs etc, they are a direct replacement for 312mm set-up on the likes of Audi TT's S3's, Skoda Octavia's, Seat Leon etc, so if your A8 has a similar set-up then I would say it would fit!!!

If you could get late Mk3 golf hubs to match the audi stuff then they would bolt straight on!!! You are welcome to try them out!!

So in summary the chances of them fitting 90% of modern audi's is out of the window and the chances of any 'CLASSIC AUDI' fitting is even slimmer.

No, what i said was that audi TT's S3's etc all use the same hubs as MK4 golfs, I have never seen the front brake set-up on an A8 before, they might fit, they might not! an A8 is probably less than 5% of the Audi Range bit too expensive and fairly rare for me to have had experience of the front brakes! So the chances are they will fit 90% of modern Audi's as they are 90% VW's/Seats and Skodas!

If the distance between the bolt centres on the hubs/carriers of your A8 brakes or in fact any classic audi that uses a seperate hub and carrier design a La 16V Mk2 Golf/Corrado 256/280mm set-up is the same as these then they will bolt straight on!

If the bolt centres length is different then you may need to upgrade the hubs! As I said you are more than welcome to try them out to see if it would work! All VAG stuff is pretty much interchangable so I can't see why it wouldn't!

No need to be arsey mate, at the end of the day It's not my responsibility to make them fit your particular car, if you want them to fit then you can make them fit! I had to have special carriers made to fit the Brembo's onto my Corrado as it's not a straight replacement, but that wasn't the guy I bought them offs responsibilty it was mine!

Peace man

Not trying to get 'arsey' trying to see what use they are on a classic audi.

The only Audi i am aware of that comes with these calipers are A8's and they use a different carrier, also the fact you say they are a striaght fit on a MK2 golf implies they wont fit an classic audi leg with out mods ( minimal grinding ) or you need a new carrier.

Then i don't know and wanted some clarification as to if they are the same basic offsets. As other wise on the face of it they require serious modifications to fit a Classic Audi or any other new audi except for the old A3 and TT ( only Audi models that fit 5 *100 PCD and relative ET's).

You offered them and i tried to clarify what they could be used with as all VW audi stuff is not interchangable just look at the most basic upgrade of using audi sourced G60's on a VW leg it won't go on with out mods.

TT and A3/S3 isn't audis, they are golfs with four rings So suspension and brakes are identical
Other audis are audis, so don't say "90%" U can only check it out

In the Realms of classic Audi's more so but most modern Audi's all share their platforms with nearly all VAG group vehicles! Ie a Passat, Superb, and an A4 are the same car underneath, just like a TT or A3/S3 is a Golf/Octavia/Leon

And I'm sure some of the more expensive stuff share many items with Bently and Lambo etc!

Anyway, Mods could you lock this up please as it's been Sold!

Cheers
