Yeh way I understand it is the 80fwd has no trans tunnel compared to the 80q
![]() So it would be big bodywork to cut and put one in to give the drive shaft space. Tho looking under mine the exhaust runs down the centre but the tunnel doesn't look big enough I guess. Hence why you'd need a donor car to rob all of the suspension, boxes, shafts, and parts of the floor to cut and shut in. Or am I wrong? I did think at one point it might be cool to do an engine swap with rwd box and then use a totally different rear axle and diff, something like a manta setup which uses a solid rear axle like the 80fwd does, very similar setup. A lot of work either way!!
