Default Oil warning light DZ

I have recently serviced the engine and its running so fucking sweet, just one issue... I used to get the oil warning light come on occassionally whilst driving above 50-60mph. So I replaced the oil pressure switch on the back on the head which resolved the problem for a few days, but now its coming back.

Could it be my oil pump is not flowing enough oil around at higher revs? I have a spare oil pump which came with the car in my shed somewhere.. I have checked all the wiring around the sensor and its all spot on.

When the oil warning light comes on I notice that on the oil pressure gauge the needle is actually showing its gone beyond 5bar.. This is such an irratating problem, iam sure there must be a cure to it though.

if i remember rightly there is oil presure switchs on the oil filtr house above the oil cooler, you may also have to carry out an oil pressure test

The oil warning light is still coming on randomly whilst driving even after the switch being replaced. Oil level is fine & its very clean as well , engine ticks over sweet as a nut so mechanically i know its ok.

Could this mean the oil pump is loosing pressure, although the guage reads full when this usually occurs. Any other things i should be looking out for?

I,m having,the same problem.
Changed switch and changed oil/filter twice.
It could be one of two things, faulty wiring(when I go over a bump,it goes off) or crap in the sump blocking pick up filter?(Sump.)

Oil pressure is created by the crank. If you have 5 bar then it doesn't get much better than that. As you suggest, may be your pump not creating the flow, or the electrical issue, second switch. What viscosity oil are you using?

I removed the oil warning buzzer relay and have not had any problems, oil pressure has been fine as well throughout, conclusion; I think the relay is faulty
