Default Clocks

our School has an 8 day wind up clock whose face is on the front of the building.
The problem is that to wind it involves removing part of the suspended ceiling and fetching ladders specially so you can climb in the loft. Each week, Its no wonder no one bothers anymore.
Question:
Can this be converted to some sort of electronic wind up/movement system?
Whats the ball park figure for this work?
who would you contact?

Anyone got any ideas???

I can personally recommend http://www.smithofderby.com/

I used to pass their old shop in Queen Street, Derby, on my way to school in 1961. We used them for repairs to the church clock when I lived in Northamptonshire. The site looks a bit prestigious but they do smaller commissions as well.

Cheers Phil, i think I'll give them a ring
I ended up having quite a chat about it today with the Headmaster and it became apparent that this might be quite a nice "project" for me to look into- since nobody else had the time (no pun intended)
I need to find out more details about it, and what (if anything) has been found out so far.
Obviously taking pics of it is tricky- hence the reasons why nobody is winding it!!!!
