Hi guys,
I've been having problems with my 100 Quattro Turbo eating fan-belts. I thought ok its either the alternator or battery thats knackered so I changed the alternator and the battery, then I realised that the tensioner bracket and bolt with the teeth were so worn that they weren't getting the tension on the belt. So I ordered a new tensioner bracket and bolt installed them and the belt was tight............no problems for three weeks, then snap, no squeels or nothing just snap, so I put on another belt and it's started squeeling today after two weeks........![]() The pulleys are running straight and true, the only thing I can think is that the aftermarket belts I'm putting on aren't agreeing........? I've had a mixture of aftermarket belts all 800 x 25. Any ideas or anyone had the same problem? Cheers, Leigh |

Just realised a mistake the belts I've been using are actually 825 x 9.5..........that's what happens when you use the laptop while watching tv! Cheers! |
