Top Hose Burst.Is a 2.3 NF one same as 2.1 NG??

As per title really!

The water pump was changed at Ben's.Seeing as it has proper water pressure now/proper compressions now,the top hose has bulged and died by the hoseus clip.

Sals 100 2.3 NF engined babe is parked in front of mine here.
Are the top hoses interchangeable until I get into Audi to get a new expensive hose??

Her car again is a 2309 10v NF engine code.
Mine is a 2144 10v KG engine code.
Im guessing the 2226 10v KV engines have the same top hose.

And why oh why is Vagcat down,even that foreign alternative version???
