A mate is selling this so I thought I might as well mention it on here.
As you'll see if you read the listing, he paid £500 for the car initially, then spent a further £800 on repairs (this was at a discount price).

At the moment, the buy it now price is £750, but it has got bids and the listing has a few days left to go.

I do know the car, and it's all absolutely correct what he says in the listing about his mechanic mate doing hundreds of pounds worth of work to it. I know the mechanic, he's an MOT examiner as well, and I've bought cars from him in the past. He's a perfectionist who meticulously repairs cars to the highest standards, and I've never known any problems with any of his work. If he's fixed it, it will be good.

Here is a list of the work that's just been done -

New wheel bearings
New brake pipes plus unions
New brake hoses
Adjust brakes all round to be more effective
Renew rear exhaust box
Renew front down pipe
Renew mountings and clamps
Replace exhaust manifold
Fit new exhaust manifold gasket
Fit inlet manifold
Replace gasket o-ring bolts and washers
Fit new cambelt kit
Replace cam and crankshaft oil seals
New synthetic oil and filter
New steering rack
New track rod ends and gators.
Heater valve repair
Tracking done
Fit nearly new Pirelli 6000 tyres all round.

I'm glad I wasn't paying for all that !
