I went on Concorde back in 1985 with my Mum. We flew to New York and back in a day, and it was awesome. After that I quite got into 'swotting up' on the planes themselves and N.A.S.A reckon it was easier to put a man on the moon than it was to get Concorde actually flying at MACH 2.

Was fortunate a couple of times to be at Heathrow long term car park which is right by one of the runways and was lucky enough to be there during take off. That thing was loud with the reheats on. Used to go over the house on a regular basis on approach to Heathrow you could always tell as it sounded so different to everything else that would pass over

Would like to visit here:

Sinsheim Museum in Germany

TU-144 and Concorde in one place!

Think we've taken a huge step back with not continuing with the Concorde program. Who'd have thought that 30 years ago, we could get to New York in half the time than it takes now!

It is strange in this time that this has happened as we are advancing so quickly with technology. Although the main business jet manufacturers are in the process of designing and building supersonic business jets.

It seems the main players want to build larger not faster. Trying to cram as many people in as possible, especially when you look at the new Airbuses.
