Poop runs on 14 Porsche wheels, and I think she looks cool. Do big wheels look cool on 80's classics? In the day they didnt do massive, but whats your take on pre 90's Audi's with big wheels?

personally anything bigger than 15" on an 80's classic just looks wrong. Out of proportion with the look and feel.

if a 80/90 coupe ect than 15" is enough but 100 /200 can get away with 17" its a big car

I agree with Emjay about 15'' being the optimal size. However, Kerkers WR looks good on his 17'' Oz Supertourismo's, mind you it's the only way he can get his big brakes on!

I oddly agree with Micky and go fully with the concept of 17s on a 100/200.
I think it depends entirely on the car.I recently saw a 1987 Isuzu Piazza Turbo running 17s and it made a whole load of difference. The width filled the arches unlike the stock rims. However,if you were to take say,an 85 XR3i and put 17s on it,it would look like something from the Tonka Xmas Catalogue. Just my slant on things ![]()

depends on the car and the proportions, anything bigger than 15s on my mk1 golf looks stupid but 17s look good on my c4. and some wheels dont look good on any car..............

Totally agree, 15's are probably the best size for classic Audi's, the red 90 that was at Audi Driver International in the concours and subsequently on Piss Heads and Ebay just looked wrong on those big modern Audi wheels 17 I think

15's but i can agree at most 16's on the 100/200 fill them big arches alittle bit more, now its not so much the size of a wheel but the style you could never get away with halfrauds/motor world/max power wheels on something 80's. modern wheels are bloody horrible, dont suit anything retro/80's etc that white quattro 80 on here for sale has nasty wheels on doesnt suit it 1 bit
