for your audi 80 v6? castrol gtx magnatec 10w40 full synthetic, read the bottle closley on the castrols coz they do a part synthetic one also, theres cheaper brands like autocare and carlube triple r available out there which also do a 10w40 fully synthetic, if you change your oil regulary [before recomended changes] then the cheaper ones can do the trick
[auto care carlube] but if like to rally your car then you need the best, mobil or motul

If you have the cash Castrol every time.

I was lucky enough to have a drive in one of their Test cars (S14a 200sx), many years ago, it had over 200k on the clock and the engine was sweet as a nut.

10w-40 semi synthetic with regular changes is fine, Castrol Magnatec is ok but is over priced for what it is. All semi synthetics are 100% mineral base.

Look up your model here http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-861-car-engine-oils.aspx and you should find a selection of suitable oils.

Cheers

Hey Steve!

Long time no speak.

Hope the V6 is going well mate.

It was a little wait to get it,but I found Royal Purple 10W/40 or 15W/40 was excellent.
It literally felt like it had been fitted with a newer smoother engine. You can leave this oil in for 20,000 miles.
It isnt cheap, but pays for itself, and is fully synthetic.
I would buy it from ebay or its like £10 a litre!!

Of all the cars I have used this in,the ABC engine responded the best.

Amsoil is also very very good.
