Whilst messing around with Moneypits rear suspension I noticed that on one side there is the plain boring "spring cap" part no. 853 512 319.
The other side has a rubber casing around the spring cap with a part no. 853 512 367. Now being curious as to (a) why has only side got it ? (b) why didn't I notice before when I replaced my dampers ? and (c) why does it not appear on ETKA or Audi's current part listings ? Anyone else have them on their cars ? Are they available as it stops any metal on metal contact between the top of the strut and the car body? |
