Default kv fuel pump wiring?

fitting a new fuel pump and theres two wires; brown and green/yellow- which goes where on the new pump? the two connections are different sizes on the new pump and both are marked with +/- , also the old wiring needs trimmed and new connecters fixed. so does the brown go to the bigger terminal or vice versa

old pump has different connections and they weren't marked+/-. new pump comes with new terminals so the old wiring has to be cut back and new ends crimped on. aren't brown wires usually earth on cars??

Wire colors are of existing wiring harness? If so then brown is ground, as always and that other is +12v. If u will connect them wrong, then pump will only pump on wrong way and engine will not work
