Default Audi 100 2.3 Avant auto MoT'd SPARES
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : Audi 100 Avant 2.3 SE auto
Price : £150
Location : Calne, Wiltshire
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook),MOT'd

Anyone up for a bit of 5 pot action???

I bought it last September as a "stopgap" car and after 2 months, that is exactly what it did. Stopped. Well stopped going forwards but goes backwards. The auto box is knackered. An auto box is about £700, and costs quite a bit to fit, so it is "BER" (Beyond Economic Repair).

2.3 NF engine, runs fine (but is missing the ISV).

Showing 100k miles, but I think it has been clocked (just being honest) as there are scratches on the clocks. Runs fine though.

SE spec, so electric windows, comfy seats, electric sunroof.

I had a replacement PAS pump fitted recently, which was nearly new (off my 100 turbo), I now have 2 other spare PAS pumps, so I will leave this one on (the guy I got the turbo off said the pump cost him £200 new in 2007 as he couldn't find a second hand one)

Good bodywork.

Anybody want any bits off it, or want to buy the whole car for a bargain price (£150 ono). Worth it for the NF engine alone (with it's super sexy wrapover inlet manifold!!!)

To be collected before end of June (you can get a beavertail truck in there, or a car and trailer)

Car is near Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 (between M4 J17 and M4 J16).

And no steering wheel (I sold the one in the photos)

Boot struts are knackered. Autocheck system display is knackered. Heater controls knackered (sometimes the fan works, sometimes not). Heated rear window switch needs to be held in to work. Temp gauge is erratic, but I used it for 500 miles a week for about 3 weeks.

PM or ring 07971 661221 for more details.

Steve

it is worth saving but I haven't got the time or the effort.

It is like Creag's 100CS (however this shouldn't need anything for the MoT), but no-one (except me!) wants these old barges.

It could be converted to manual, but it is the old "time and effort", and it is not a particularly inspiring car (i.e.. it isn't turbo, so isn't quick, and isn't quattro so doesn't go fast round corners).

I might sell it for £1000 so someone can get the £2000 scrappage allowance!!!

I wouldn't give up on that autobox just yet... read this thread from audifans. For the cost and little bit of time needed, it might be enough to resurrect it.

I have to admit to being a big fan of these old barges too.

Thanks for the sentiments, but it is costing me £20 a month to store it, and I have the 100 quattro and the 80CL both MoT'd and insured, I can't afford to insure another.

Either I sell it as is for £150, or I whip off a few easy bits (lights, bumpers, headlights, clocks, PAS pump, exhaust box), and sell them seperately, then see if someone wants it for a nominal fee, obviously, some strategic bits will be missing. I'd rather get someone who will use the bits rather than scrap it.

The rest of the car is lovely.

Also, the car is 3 miles away from me on a farm so if I wanted to drop the fluid and put in diesel, if it went pear shaped I'd be in big trouble, or it would cost me money to transport it to my house and do it there (and my Wife would do her nut!). And the auto fluid isn't cheap, and I am very busy with 3 small kids to amuse.

I kept it until now because of the idle problems on the 100 quattro (same engine), but I solved them. Nothing else will yield spares that the 100 turbo won't yield.

I just got hold of a complete 100 quattro drivetrain, so now have no need for the auto.

Cheers

Steve
