Can anyone tell me how long the following jobs should roughly take at a garage
the engine is a 1989 2.0 8v engine code 3A waterpump and thermostat replacement ( removal refit ) testing of old pump and stat test flow through heater matrix test cooling fan bleed cooling system liquid pressure test cylinder head ( put bottle thing in oil filler cap with fluid and if it changes colour shows head problems cheers ![]() |

What's happened? Big bill? Don't know if it's much different to the 1.8 8v? But I did timing belt and water pump on mine in about 45 minutes I think. Matrix you just stick a hose pipe into it don't you? Testing stat takes ten minutes in a pan of water, testing fan could take ten seconds, depending what they were testing.
Maybe 2-3 hours garage time at most? Don't know. |
