Default Type 85 90 Quattro *restored*
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : 90 Quattro
Price : £1000
Location : Driffield East Yorks

Morning gents.

As some of you know I rescued a sad looking 90 quattro a while ago because I could see the potential in it and also that if left much longer it would go beyond the point of repair.

The long and the short of it is now it is approaching finished and I need to find a new home for it as soon as possible.

I'm happy to sell it at any point from how it currently stands up to finished with an MOT, if I'm being honest I'd actually prefer to move it on sooner than later so I can concentrate on some other projects, already the hardest work is done.

When I bought the car it had the usual rot and body damage, but a tidy interior, wrong wheels and was generally a bit sad looking.

Current condition is all the rot has been removed and repaired, note this does not mean filled with filler, it has all been cut out and repair panels fitted. The car is now prepped ready to be painted in the original Zermatt silver.

It now has the correct wheels which have been refurbed (ronals) and good tyres all round (matching) as well as a stainless rear box on the otherwise good exhaust system.

Once painted it needs reassembling (all parts there, nothing broken on removal) and MOTing, it was actually motd just before I bought it and only failed on 3 things (rot - now mended, exhaust box - now mended and rear diff mounts which I have and will fit.) So it should go through without too much hassle.

Price totally negotiable, make me an offer and talk to me, this will make someone a lovely car, rot free type 85s are rare things!!

This is a picture of the car more or less as we got it back home.

Obviously doesn't look anything like that now but at least shows the base I have worked from.

Repaired/replaced parts include:

Windscreen scuttle corner, rear wheel arch, doors, sill. The bonnet, boot and front wings were in fantastic condition thankfully. Currently the car is totally flatted ready to spray.

Right chaps, been thinking about this and the car needs to go asap.

Worse case scenario I'll bounce it on to ebay this weekend, it may well do quite well on there with scene tax, but I'd like it to go to an Audi enthusiast.

So how about this, I'll throw some pics on on Sat or Sun anyway, but if anyone gets in touch and makes a serious punt on the car it's yours for £500.

Cars probably worth more in bits, remember this is a t85 90 Quattro with a decent interior, stainless back box, runs and drives and most importantly is RUST FREE!!!!

It will make someone a fantastic car. All I ask in return is that is gone as soon as possible.

doesn't look bad at all, I could do with it if I didn't have 6 soon to be 7 Audi's already. Would be a nice base to convert to LHD and have fun with it.

Lol. I'm matching you in car numbers hence the sale, can honestly say this isn't a case of got in too deep and got scared, it's ready to paint now and then just put back together, other than needing a windscreen everything to finish is there!!

My original plan was to wide arch it using quattro wings, but the car was just too solid to mess around with. I'd love to see someone do it though!
