Yep, most of us still love a ford from our past, i do and have fond memories for sure.
When it comes to the hard earned many if they knew how good Audi were back then would have bought, maybe not new, as they were expensive but at least second hand nearly new cars.
It's taken Audi all through the seventies through the eighties until the early 90's before Audi really started to take off here and for the public to finally wake up. It takes a long time of whisperings and natterings before the masses start to switch onto a new idea/product. Now that many people have grown up with dad driving an Audi the same will happen to the kids that have grown up with them. They'll be wanting an Audi and once they delve a bit deeper will be hankering after the older stuff that you and i own.
