To my understanding-

My quattro is serial number 901146.
There’s only one to the best of my knowledge. It’s a quattro as opposed to a CQ or a coupe.

My chassis type is 85, FA

The biggest issue (with the lower volume builds) you would normally have is when your chassis serial number coincides with a ‘break’ in the serial number sequences.
Eg. Earlier models get a narrow shaft dizzy, and corresponding rotor arm. Later get a wider shaft.
For instance, FA901145 might the point when a design change comes in. 901146 might get earlier or later parts.

But the serial number should be sequential, and unique, and the entire vehicle identified by the significant part of the VIN, 85-F-90...

At least, that’s how it always seemed to work for me.
