My thoughts exactly
Log book or no log book that's a heap of rust and any Mk1 shell can be converted to rally / twin cam spec.
I did this with my 1100 Mk1 30 years ago (and god I wish I'd kept it now
), ended up with all the Rally stuff underneath and on the shell and a 1650cc twin weber engine with rolling road set up 124bhp and surprised most 3.0l cars of the time
