Sounds like again that low production thing was in US and UK but not in germany
Germans made them all the way until end of B2. Of course, they are rarity, but not so big. I just took a look at

I can't understand why some ppls destroys good cars to create short coupes and sq recreations
AWD technology advancements in past twenty years had made had made originals to loose it's sports value but short coupes and sq recreations doesn't have any historical value at all, just scrap + parts value
