Well, I remember problems which encountered one guy who installed vw 9A engine [the same Audi 6A, only transverse] in B3 - sump, exhaust starting from manifold, fuel lines, wiring harness, filter box and some other parts that must be swapped from existing 6A/ACE engine.

VR6 isn't difficult swap, if prefabricated parts are used, but it's expensive one - take a look @ www.034motorsport.com
Forget about putting g-lader on your existing engine - that won't work out. DZ engine's existing primitive ignition can have problems even at it's stock form, so 98E must be used, with forced induction and the same compression it would destroy that engine...
Why not 1.8 20vt?
