IMHO, you could spend quite a few bucks on that engine to get it up to around 150bhp. Would it not be better/cheaper to get a second hand Mk2 Gti golf 16v engine to transplant?(If that's easy enough?) You'd have 139bhp to start and that would be easier to get up over the 150bhp.

Sure someone else will have a better idea though.
