Just after Newport the A41 goes through a wooded section near the turn off for Childs Ercall. This is a long straight of probably 1/2 a mile. I had nothing in front of me so had a clear view. Coming the opposite way was an Orange MK11 Escort with Forest Arches, 2 up 2 down Super Oscas and Plexiglass windows and fully livered up and covered in mud. Both driver / co-driver were in practice head sets and it looked like the car was on the 9'' x 13'' rims. It was, I would say, absolutely flat out because the approaching speed was awesome and it also had a BDA of some kind because it was absolutely screaming it's nads off. I flashed and waved and clapped like an idiot and i was rewarded with a blinding flash from the Cibies. I have never laughed so much for a long time and to say it made my day was an understatement. Bloody awesome.

I love that kind of thing, makes the road tax worth buying...

Remember being overtaken by a Diablo south of Petworth, We (the Ur quattro and the Diablo popped and banged though the town, then south of there, the Diablo had open road and let fly... There was no point in trying to make his life hard, the thing was followed by a Vortex of dust and grit from the active underbody aerodynamics... spine tingling stuff... Just love anything like that....

Thanks for sharing.
