Dave, What type of fuelling system is your car running? the reason I ask is that Baron2211 was telling me about a guy who got fed up with his K-jet problems and installed EFI, is this you?
If you are still running the K-jet, maybe the massive airflow when the pipe popped off could have damaged/ bent something in the air flow meter, only an idea but it looks like youv'e tried most of the obvious.
If you are the EFI guy, what kind of ecu are you using and what can it tell you in the way of fault codes and or live data, I've found that the live data (while someone else drives) can sometimes be more usefull than fault codes in diagnosing arkward problems.
