Just got back from seeing our eldest at Easter Assembly…

And the local vicar made a speech, with an Easter prayer.

Picture the scene, School Hall, 70 odd kids and similar number of parents.

Vicar stands and says.

‘Its always a delight to be invited to the school’

“Our lord Jesus… (slight pause)… Chwist was Cwucified to save us all…” As the prayer continued along the lines of “Chwists weincawnation” so the adults descended into a sniggering, crying and generally out of control mass.

By the end, and the ‘Advert’ to “Join Chwists fwock this Sunday for Easter Pwayers”. The place was paralytic.

I’ve not laughed so much in years.
