Well had the exhaust done yesterday and it sounds much better on full bore (if I could hear it over the boost leak..yes its that bad), but still quiet when cruising. Much deeper note now.
Had a long chat wth Pipewerx's Ian Birch who said 3" unnecessay and boomy unless running over 400bhp. 2.5" is good to 300bhp and with a 3" downpipe to my now 2.5" exhaust I can get to 360bhp before backpressure becomes an issue with the freeflow boxes i have. So job done... Also managed to reduce the bend at the rear to help gas flow.
Now to locate this flaming boost leak.... always something to sort on this heap...
