You're right there, I have spent too much time and effort on mine getting it to its present condition to ever let it go unless some arse goes and smashes into it which I hope never happens (touches wood quickly).
Is certainly a problem now not helped by the spares as they are getting hard to find, so those with good ones are keeping them and those getting rid have possible issues that could be expense to fix. Mine is going to be dead mans shoes situation I'm afraid...
