I was at the lights in town today when I noticed the water temp was very high, infact almost on the
H, I thought to my self, oh, something's not right?
I better pull over. before i could do anything steam started pouring out of the engine bay.
And only THEN did the red light on the dash board start flashing at me.
I pulled the car over, switched of engine off, popped the bonnet to see water EVERYWHERE.
basically due to some heath Robinson wireing to the fan, one of the wires had come off and so she boiled over.
I reconnected the wire, turned the interior heater fan on in the car full blast, and went to get some water. let it cool down for a bit, & re filled the rad.
started her up again and watched on tick over as the temp climbed higher and higher.
So it seems the fan isn't coming on any more.
I don't know if its the fan that is goosed, or a sensor or another electrical fault.
I'm hoping the engine is OK, but what i want/need to do now is hot wire the fan so its on all the time, or maybe put a switch on it.
What two wires do i need to cross to turn the fan on?
I'm not happy.
