Spot on, they were trying to get everybody driving oil burns back then, now they're supposed to kill Polar bears.

It's all total bollocks as the exhaust gases from road vehicles whilst fairy significant on a global scale only make up a tiny fraction of total C02 emissions compared to aircraft, shipping and unregulated heavy industry in country's like China.

You could take every single petrol or diesel car off the road and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to the climate, apart from locally in city's. Try tell that to those moronic anti oil protestors though and they'll just put their fingers in their ears, a bit like flat earth proponents.
