I’ve got one, used it for many years on the S2 in the station car park and occasionally on the Ur. One fateful day I put it in the Ur (in its open position) for a family trip to the sea life centre at Portsmouth and after a great day retuned to the Ur to realise the key was still on the S2 keys at home, 40 odd miles away. After about 15 seconds of assessing the problem I unscrewed the gear knob and removed the device. Admittedly, it does say glue the knob down before use of the detergent, but seriously, who would?
It’s a layman solution against a layman thief which is fine up to a point. (for example, a visual deterrent). If your serious about immobilisation it’s a slightly trickier problem.
