engine was a good runner although not original don't think it was when i bought it (GU block) but rings let go on that one so it has a motor transplanted from a scirroco gti.
metering head is probably worth more than car (reconditioned unit supplied by jp autotechnics(bosch agent) in 2000 at a cost of £249 doubt its done 20,000 miles.
gearbox was as it should be smooth as silk although from memory input shaft seal did weep a bit

As it's been dry stored it looks pretty sound. Could be contender for latest (youngest) Sport? Do you have reg date &/or chassis no. to hand? You're a bit far away from me, but someone should save her rather than break; assuming she is sound underneath.
