Hi, I'm looking for some information about the Aerials that were fitted or are able to be fitted to the B2 Coupe. The one on the car currently I suspect is the original, but it's been snapped off at the base at some point, so the radio is useless. The car still has it's original Blaupunkt Cambridge M23 radio cassette unit fitted, and we've no intention of changing it.
Speaking to my Dad about it, he reckons he had electric aerials on both his Coupes back in the 80s. He says the early car (82 Square lamp model) had an aerial he had to use a switch to operate. But his second car which was an 86 model same as the one we have now had an aerial which went up when the radio was switched on. He says he had this fitted by a friend of his back in the day.
So, what aerials were available and are electric ones easy to fit and wire in? Ideally I'd like to fit an electric one to the car as it would make life easier, and stop it getting snapped if lowered with heavy hands. (Me

Thanks,
S.
