HI guys, I bought this Audi Coupe (pictures in my profile pictures) as a donor car for my quattro restoration, primarily for the alloys and tyres which are near new.
However upon removing the tyres I realised that the spacing of the four bolts differs to those on my quattro. That, and the fact that the bodywork is remarkably rust free I have decided to list the whole thing for sale.
The car was registered on 03/01/1989 and I am the 9th registered owner.
The car has been modified as such:
Tow bar mounts have been made in the rear (tow bar is available too)
Interior has been removed by previous owner and two racing folding three point harness seats were fitted to the front.
Interior also features passenger side (co-driver) mic up the a-pillar
Manual radiator fans and fuel cutoff switches have been fitted to the centre console (and work)
The front has four enormous spots fitted which have been wired into the standard front fogs and full beam (two for each)
A massive underfloor sump guard has also been fitted - see picture.
As you can probably tell from the desciption this car has been modified for road rallying but from the condition of the engine and bodywork it hasn't actually made it into competitive use.
I will post more pictures of the interior asap.
Basically the shell of the car is in great condition. Certainly of the seven coupe's I've owned, this is in the best condition bodywork wise it just needs some dedication and parts to restore the interior.
Any questions please feel free to mail me. For those who are seriously interested I will pass over my phone number so we can discuss in more detail.
Thanks for looking.
Dave
