Good morning everyone as per the title I'm looking for oversized pistons, let me explain, I'm renovating/restoring/recomisioning delete as appropriate
an A reg Audi 80 coupe with a 2.2 lt 5pot engine. I sent the engine in to be re shelled crank reground head skimmed ect whilst they've been checking it they noticed a lip on the middle piston bore so it needs a re bore as well now
the only issue is there supplier can only supply 0.5 pistons, not 0.25 plus the price for the pistons comes in at "around £100 per piston!" I'm guesing that's without VAT
Does anyone have any new 0.25 oversized pistons just lying around waiting to go into a nice sorted car or can anyone suggest where else to look for some that might just make this engine rebuild affordable...
