*insert exciting music here*

...the oscar for solving this running issue on my 90 quattro goes to quattro-nick (S2forum)!

Started the car which was no problem with a cold engine, got out of the car immediately played a bit with the throttle with my right hand and adjusted the CO screw anti-clockwise and it ran ok It also starts better now when warm but will go to a local garage to do some finetuning.

A member on the Dutch type8185 forum told me that the oil pressure alarm is related to low voltage in one way or another. Will have to look into the wiring and the alternator as the battery light is lit almost constantly now and the voltage at the battery when running is just above 12V.

Many thanks guys for your help
