em, so apparently it wasnt the matrix!!!!! its not cured it after all, i had a nissan almera here yesterday doing the same thing, had it all apart too, water pump was working, thermostat was working, bad flow coming from the heater hoses, so im thinking head gasket is to blame on both cars,

the audi hasnt bee on the road for around 2 years now, its tucked up in the corner of the mancave, fired it up today for a giggle but still couldnt get it to warm up...

head gasket kit here but im thinking of a 7A conversion later so will see how it goes...
