i would gladly have come for another natter but that's the weekend of the scottish air show and i'm dedicated to getting this old lad on board a lancaster - the last time he was in one of those beasts was 1945 and he was flying the damned thing! now 91 years old and razor sharp in every way. he said to me,
"i just hope that i make it to september, son!!"
