I know that there are only 8 of this model on the road in the UK and as far as I know all the others have the solid sunroof so this could be quite unique.

Sounds about right, my dads '83 ur was ordered without a sunroof and then in a typical 80's fashion an aftermarket glass sunroof was fitted. At first I though it detracted from it, however it is period 1980's modifications and it's how it was back then. Look forward to seeing some pics up!
