I bought one of these about 10 days ago, and it was not good at all. I had an almost identical one last year which captured really sharp, clear footage, but it died. This one looks the same, but despite claims that it's HD, I suspect it wasn't. The footage was really grainy and I ended up having to ask for a refund.
It was £20.99 and they refunded me £18 and said I could keep the camera. Sounds generous except it saved them having to reimburse me for the return postage, so I've effectively got a crap dash cam that's borderline useable, for £2.99. You can't even make out registration numbers with it, whereas my last one, that wasn't HD, was so good you could easily see road signs and registration numbers etc.
