Hi mate, sorry for the outburst the other night, I had a really sh1tty day and it was one thing too many. Sincerely sorry. The last thing I want to do is fall out with people.
Anyway, I only have the new shock insert but I think the top mount is loose somehow because it rattles inside the car when going over a dropped surface. The top of the strut on the rear is different from the front, in that it has a big metal section thats shaped like a weird pastie, or maybe a badly made swiss roll thats been sat on. Or a calzonie.
Thats what I think is rattling - the top mount nut or 2 that are buried under a mound of interior trim. I knew it was too easy getting the car lol. It is smooth and quiet over an undulating road, and only makes a noise when the surface drops in level suddenly.
