Hiya, yes basically.
You apply the powder with the gun at very low pressure its only about 10psi max so its dusted on and the powders statically charged by the high voltage unit.
That attracts it to the piece being coated which is earthed back to the high voltage source and so you get little wastegae.
I usually do it against painters plastic which is clean so the excess powder can be collected, but really most all of it goes on the item being coated.
I used it on Mickys current build, Coxys 7A and "Ralf's" (1968 variant) engine build amongst others.
I like it because its quick and clean compared to other paint methods, its hard as hell and as soon as its cooled you can use the part youve just coated but since im no longer into it someone else might as well put it to good use.
