I remember reading somewhere about "cooling pipes to injectors"?....or am I perhaps getting confused with the turbo'd 10 valve engines
Also what would cause the engine to cut out whilst sitting in traffic? .... After cutting out it would turn over and fire but barely reach idle speed before dying again......could hear the fuel pump prime when turning ign to on but the way it fired then imediately cut again was really like insufficient fuel pressure. I then left the car to cool down for a few hours, then started no problem and drove 30 miles home.

John.
Firstly the throttle switch, yes you should be able to hear it click, not sure this does anything regards the Valve on the airbox though, but it will effect tickover. Seem to have mislaid my drawings so not much more I can say at tye moment.
That bracket is for the injectors cooling motor. Not critical in this country most of the time and series 2's never had one.
