it has got to be the most useful special tool i have come across,the same thing is available for the b3/b4(87+) chassis but i am not sure it will be as easy to do as on the t44/c4
only problem i came across once was a shock was seized into the strut.Had to attach an engine crane to it which nearly lifted the car off the ground before it came out
just noticed samstag say both tools are now both defunkt,so they try and sell you a pair of spring compressors instead
