The footplate bit is attached the the arm with a plastic tab at the top, which it hinges on and this is the bit that snaps! I have tired in the past to glue the footplate back on but because it was designed to be hinged it always snaps off again
. You have to buy the whole arm I'm afraid or just cut the spring off with snips and live with it as it is.
